Buffalo tallow has many uniquely moisturizing benefits not provided by lower-quality tallows, such as beef tallow. Buffalo tallow is very similar to human skin lipids, is nutrient-rich, anti-inflammatory, sustainable, and traditional. Unlike other types of mass-produced tallow, you’ll never have to worry about artificial growth hormones or antibiotics finding their way into the tallow.
Our products come from prairie grass-fed and finished buffalo who live their entire lives in vast open spaces right here in the South Dakota region of the US, sourced exclusively from Wild Idea Buffalo. We then hand-render the tallow ourselves on our ranch in Custer the old-fashioned way.

The candles and coffee mugs are the perfect souvenir from your time in the Black Hills! The women working that day was super knowledgable about the products and was so kind, welcoming, and friendly. Of all the shopping we did (which was a lot), while is Custer, this place was definitely our favorite!!

I love that this tallow is prairie grass fed!
I have tried beef tallow before but until I learned about the hormones that can be present, I have been looking for something that's more pure to use. I recently tried the buffalo tallow and it was so velvety and creamy and it absorbs quickly into the skin! I'm looking forward to trying the different scents! I love that this tallow is prairie grass fed!
