About Buffalo Tallow: Buffalo Tallow’s unique, nutrient-rich composition contains high levels of antioxidants, vitamins (A, D, E, and K), and essential fatty acids (Omega-3 and Omega-6). These nutrients nourish the skin, promote cell regeneration, and support skin health. 
Buffalo tallow has the highest source of CLA, helping the skin retain moisture. 
It also has a unique fatty acid profile that closely resembles human skin lipids. This similarity allows it to be easily absorbed by the skin, providing excellent moisturizing benefits without clogging pores. 
Unlike lower quality tallows, our products never contain artificial growth hormones, antibiotics or high levels of stress hormones resulting from commercial harvesting processes.

    Healed Tattoo

    Hello Pamela,

    I just wanted to let you know how much I love your products! I use the Healing Salve and Whipped Body Butter daily. I got a new tattoo on September 7th. I took off the bandage on Thursday night. I have used the healing salve once a day since. I had no icky pealing and the tattoo is nearly healed perfectly. Keep up the great work!

    I like the logo. It's nice to see all the ingredients.

    Oh me, oh my! It is amazing!

    My son was stealing my other salve from Black Hills Candle & Tallow so I got this one for him. He had scaly rough patches behind both his ears and it is all cleared up! On top of that his skin has cleared up a TON and one of his friends asked him what the heck he is doing... you know there is a difference, when a 20 year old boy notices and asks.

    Buffalo Tallow Healing Salve

    I use the healing salve every night and wake up in 4he morning pain free. Also I have less stiffness in my wrist and hand from the arthritis. I love this product.

The candles and coffee mugs are the perfect souvenir from your time in the Black Hills! The women working that day was super knowledgable about the products and was so kind, welcoming, and friendly. Of all the shopping we did (which was a lot), while is Custer, this place was definitely our favorite!!

  • I love that this tallow is prairie grass fed!

    I have tried beef tallow before but until I learned about the hormones that can be present, I have been looking for something that's more pure to use. I recently tried the buffalo tallow and it was so velvety and creamy and it absorbs quickly into the skin! I'm looking forward to trying the different scents! I love that this tallow is prairie grass fed!
