• We source our buffalo tallow from buffalo that live their entire lives on large-landscape prairie grasslands and are humanely field-harvested. That means their bodies aren't filled with the stress hormones that result from having been loaded onto a trailer and processed at a commercial kill facility, like beef.

We occasionally get asked why we invest so much time and care into hand-making a whipped body butter. Why not just make a tallow lotion? Whipping the tallow ensures it has a much lighter, velvety feel than lotion. We know our customers much prefer the indulgent, satin-like texture of our body butter over a standard lotion.
